"Fit Kit for Honda Fit fits fine" 2009-10-11
By Dietmar Ingensiep (Reno NV)
Bought the Thule Fit Kit for 400XT and Rapid Aero Foot (2180) to use once again on my almost 20 years old Thule system for a 2007 Honda Fit and everything works great. I was wondering if I even could get parts for something that old and been sitting in the basement collecting dust, so I send pictures to Thule and I got a response back within a day recommending the right kit.

I purchased the fit kit and it easily adapted my old Thule aero feet to my new car. The product works as advertised..

"Tough to install the first time, but very good once it's on." 2009-05-24
By Buildable (Bay Area, CA)
Works on my 2004 Toyota Prius, but man, this thing was hard to install the first time. Contrary to the instructions that come with the kit, you really have to get the whole thing assembled (feet, load bars and fit kit) BEFORE placing the rack on the car. If you try to do it while the unit is positioned on the roof of the car, the bolts are not long enough to engage the threaded nut way up inside each foot. Also, stick to the measurements they specify in the instructions. That part they did get right.

Now that I did the intital set up though, the rack is super sturdy, and relatively easy to take on and off. To fit the 2004 Toyota Prius you will need the Thule Fit Kit #2142, a set of the Thule 400xt Aero Feet, and a set of load bars of your desired length (I got the LB58, 58" ones).

Overall a good product, but Thule could do a way better job on their instruction manual.

Special thanks to the Cracks and Racks store in Aspen, Colorado who I had to randomly call for help because the Thule tech support was closed on the weekend. You guys were so helpful and nice even though i hadn't bought the unit from you. cracksandracks.com

 "Love My Thule!!" 2009-04-14
By T. Van (NW Montana)
I have the 400xt Aero Foot, LB65 Square Load Bars, 2119 Fit Kit and locks on my 2007 Toyota Matrix XR and love it. I was a little taken a back by the price, but you get what you pay for. I wanted something stable, when it is on my car, I don't want it to come off. I didn't want to realize my stuff was gone and come back 100 miles later and find it on the road.

We had one of Thule's racks on our 77 VW Van in the late 70s-80s. We moved from Alaska to WV with that rack on our car. Some place in CO we got stuck in a blizzard and the wind was so strong our car was rocking up on two wheels. The rack and our stuff stayed on strong. I knew when it was time for a rack on my car Thule was the way to go. Sure it's expensive, but you get what you pay for.

"Fits the Honda Accord 2005" 2009-04-12
By Vikram Rawat (carlsbad, ca)
Had to struggle a little bit to put it on my car. While the front side installed without much fight, the back side there was some struggle. With the help of a friend we were able to mount the whole rack system in 2 hours. However, before that I had spent 2 hours by myself and gave up. It fits too tight to the car, which is required and good. However, during the installation I felt there was no leeway in the spacing of rubber pads or the base (even a few millimeters).

In the end, however the Aluminium bars look good on the car compared to the square or round coated bars.
